Dutchess County holds its annual Veterans Appreciation Day this morning at the Henry A. Wallace Center at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library in Hyde Park. The program runs from 11 AM to 2 PM, days ahead of the national Veterans Day holiday on November 11.

At 1 PM, county officials will present the 2026 Veteran of Distinction Award to First Lieutenant Henry Bialosuknia. The award is the county's annual recognition of a veteran selected for distinguished service.

The Dutchess County Division of Veterans Services, led by Director Adam Roche, made the announcement. The Henry A. Wallace Center sits on the grounds of the FDR Presidential Library complex in Hyde Park.

The event is open to the public. Veterans, families, and community members are welcome to attend.
