Five holiday markets open across the Hudson Valley this season, as reported by Mommy Poppins. They include an internationally themed Christkindlmarkt in Poughkeepsie and a Kingston fair with more than 70 vendors.

The first on the calendar is the Holiday Craft and Vendor Market at Hudson Valley SPCA. It runs Nov. 14 at 940 Little Britain Road in New Windsor. Next, Germania of Poughkeepsie opens its Christkindlmarkt on Nov. 20 at 37 Old Degarmo Road. Mommy Poppins described it as the region's internationally themed market.

The Hudson Valley Hullabaloo Holiday Market returns Nov. 21 and 22. It takes place at Andy Murphy Midtown Neighborhood Center, 467 Broadway, Kingston. According to the Hullabaloo's own site, the market has run since 2013. This year it brings more than 70 makers and vintage vendors. Admission is $2 cash at the door. Children 12 and under get in free.

Thanksgiving weekend brings two more markets. The Basilica Farm & Flea Holiday Market fills Basilica Hudson from Nov. 27 to 29. Mommy Poppins listed more than 120 vendors there. Basilica Hudson is a repurposed riverside factory. That same weekend, the Historic Hudson Valley Holiday Boutique opens Nov. 27 at Philipsburg Manor in Sleepy Hollow.

Schedules and admission can change, so confirm details with the organizer before going.
